Jack Brereton has been playing music since he was 10 years old, but only recently starting putting out music under his given name. The change came from a desire to strip the persona from his work and to develop an ascetic that can involve all his creative interests like music, field recordings, film photography and block printing. An excitement about home recording bloomed while in high school, a path he continues to follow, giving a platform for songs informed by many of his heroes like Andy Shauf, Courtney Barnett, Slow Pulp, and Steely Dan. Currently living in Chicago, he enjoys playing in friends bands as much as his own, and is always trying to find more ways to spend time outside.
