Bobby Rush - She Put The Whammy on Me // Gotta Have Money 12" Single

Two songs from the Bobby Rush vaults, recorded in 1976 with legendary bass player and producer, Cleveland Eaton. 

The recordings were discovered during Earth Libraries’ ongoing archival work surrounding Cleveland Eaton’s recording catalog, led by longtime Eaton collaborator and archivist Lee Shook alongside label founder Bryant Saxon. While sorting through deteriorating tape archives stored in a basement, the team uncovered reels containing fully realized Bobby Rush sessions that had sat untouched for nearly half a century. Rush himself hadn’t heard the tapes since they were recorded.
