Sonny Falls is the songwriting project of Chicagoan Ryan “Hoagie” Wesley Ensley. Informed by years of communal living within the Chicago DIY scene, Hoagie has a prolific and collective mentality. This mindset allows space for a dynamic where collaboration can take place with a rotating cast, highlighting some of Chicago’s finest musicians.
Sonny Falls’ dynamic sonic spectrum, ranging from sparse acoustic sounds to noise rock, has earned Hoagie and company recognition from The Chicago Tribune, American Songwriter, Flood Magazine, Talkhouse, The Big Takeover, Post-Trash, Chicago Reader and more; with albums being released by Sooper Records, Plastic Miracles & Forged Artifacts. Their self-titled record is due March 1, 2024 via Earth Libraries.
